Rabbit Riding Hood

I thought it would be good to try a different story in rabbit form so here you have it, Rabbit Riding Hood complete with Wolf/Rabbit as Grandma. All acrylic on canvas, really love these strung canvases, they beg for a tale to be told on them.

 Introducing Jack Door! A villainous jackdaw and the nemesis of a certain anti-hero of mine ;) Jack is a bit of a gangster and he likes to look as sharp as his wit. Inks then painted in the brushes app for Ipad.

Rabbit Alice again, this time ink then painted in the brushes app for iphone.

'Rabbit Alice', acrylic on canvas. I painted her at a live demonstration which was new for me, very strange having people ask questions while I work! It went quite well and was definitely more fun than I anticipated. 

'Hunting', acrylic on canvas. My mum's idea, 'Do the Harry Potter owl' and yes, Mum always knows best. I wanted it to appear as if he is hunting the viewer looking in. A bit of a shame his golden eyes haven't photographed particularly well but hey, you get the idea.

Rabbit phase!

So i'm going through an Alice in Wonderland/white rabbit phase! Really enjoying doing the eyes and noses, I like to make them as cute as possible.

First pic is entitled 'Mr Rabbit Waited', I wanted to twist the tale and let him wait for Alice.

Second pic is 'Who ARE You?' The caterpillar smoking his hookah with tropical blooms. 

Third pic is my favorite 'Hatter Rabbit', you guessed it, the white rabbit as the mad hatter. I think he makes a great Mad Hatter although less mad, more cute.

yikes it's been ages!

Wow it's officially been ages since I updated.
Anyway i'm still working and i'm now on Instagram, find me as just plain old Blossombrooks for weekly fan art of tmnt, spider-man and my usual random assortment of paintings and sketches.
This is a selection of my latest work, some of it has already sold, which is just amazing and possibly the best feeling in the world.

pic 3 is Doug the 50ft rabbit, an instagram entry for #springbunny challenge and a moderator's pick. I used ink on paper first then coloured it with the brushes app for ipad.
pic 4 is 'Escape to Fillory' acrylic on canvas. Inspired by the book 'The Magician King' by Lev Grossman, this is the seeing hare and clock tree. It's an incredible book and one of my favourite reads of all time.
