Rabbit phase!

So i'm going through an Alice in Wonderland/white rabbit phase! Really enjoying doing the eyes and noses, I like to make them as cute as possible.

First pic is entitled 'Mr Rabbit Waited', I wanted to twist the tale and let him wait for Alice.

Second pic is 'Who ARE You?' The caterpillar smoking his hookah with tropical blooms. 

Third pic is my favorite 'Hatter Rabbit', you guessed it, the white rabbit as the mad hatter. I think he makes a great Mad Hatter although less mad, more cute. 

I'm currently finishing 'Rabbit Alice' so stay tuned!

yikes it's been ages!

Wow it's officially been ages since I updated.
Anyway i'm still working and i'm now on Instagram, find me as just plain old Blossombrooks for weekly fan art of tmnt, spider-man and my usual random assortment of paintings and sketches.
This is a selection of my latest work, some of it has already sold, which is just amazing and possibly the best feeling in the world.

pic 2 is 'Lights over the mountains' acrylic
pic 3 is Doug the 50ft rabbit, an instagram entry for #springbunny challenge and a moderator's pick. I used ink on paper first then coloured it with the brushes app for ipad.
pic 4 is 'Escape to Fillory' acrylic on canvas. Inspired by the book 'The Magician King' by Lev Grossman, this is the seeing hare and clock tree. It's an incredible book and one of my favourite reads of all time.

So I have a blog.....

I've finally bitten the blog bullet! It tastes ok.

I will be posting artwork asap. I work in lots of very different means, everything from comic book to classic brush on canvas. You can't really beat a new canvas but that's another story, a 6ft x 5ft story, with a bus.

For now I'm concentrating on digital artwork, which reminds me please find me ( non alter ego me Emma Shortland) on talenthouse and vote for my superhero design for the stan lee foundation. Its 'Elle Chupacabra' get it? She's an urban legend out to attone for a life of sucking the livestock of Mexico dry.
